  1. Read general rules for Homecraft Building.
  2. Exhibitors must produce a DUPLICATE entry list when claiming exhibits.
  3. NO commercial mixes to be used unless specified.
  4. All breads to be baked in rectangular pans.
  5. All cakes to be shown on foil covered boards.
  6. Biscuits, muffins, buns, cookies, tarts and squares to be places on disposable plates.
  7. All pies to be displayed on 8″- 9″ inch foil pie plates. .
  8. Place all baking entries in a clear plastic bag with entry tag secured to bag.
  9. Baking may be gluten free.

THE FOLLOWING CLASSES ARE JUDGED THURSDAY EVENING.
All 8″ or 9 ” cakes are to be one layer only to minimize waste.

CAKES

NOTE: All items 28 – 42 except dill pickles, in jars maximum size 500 mL or 16 oz. and properly sealed with new tops (no rust). Exhibitor tags should be secured with string or elastic.

THE UXBRIDGE FAIR BOARD WILL AWARD A PLAQUE FOR THE MOST POINTS OBTAINED IN THE CULINARY ARTS DIVISION.

SPECIAL CLASSES

43. MAYOR’S SPECIAL
Prizes:  $15.00, $10.00, $5.00
One Shortbread Cookie, not decorated (not larger than 8”)

44. The Village Cupcakery and Cafe Special
Prizes: $15, $10, $5.00  
3 cupcakes on a plate, decorated as farm animals. Judged on decoration and originality. Mixes allowed.

45. O.A.A.S. Special
Prizes: $5.00, $4.00, $3.00, $2.00
Butter Tarts includes raisins, no nuts – 5, placed in a plastic bag that will close.
First prize will be eligible to compete in the District 4 Annual Meeting. Details to be provided to the winner.

46. Saturday Apple Pie Special

8″ or 9″ Double Crust Apple Pie. Each pie admits one adult free to the fair on Saturday morning. Please bring all entries to the office at the Uxbridge Fair on SATURDAY MORNING BETWEEN 10 am and 12 NOON FOR JUDGING. All pies become the property of the Uxbridge Fair Board and will be sliced and served for a cash donation in the fair office beginning at 1 pm. Please come early as supplies are limited! All donations go to the Uxbridge Loaves and Fishes Food bank.

47. Bredin’s Bakery Carrot Cake Special:

8″ or 9″ Iced Carrot Cake, double layer. Each cake admits one adult free to the Fair on Sunday morning. Please bring entries to the office at the Uxbridge Fair SUNDAY MORNING BETWEEN 10 am and 12 NOON FOR JUDGING. All cakes become the property of the Uxbridge Fair Board and will be auctioned off by silent bidding throughout the day ( until 3 pm) in the Homecraft Building. Bid participants must contact the Fair Office (905) 852-7745 by 4 pm on Sunday to pick up. Highest bid will receive the first prize winning cake, etc.

Minimum bid will be $15.00.

Proceeds benefit the Uxbridge-Scott Fair Award at the Uxbridge Secondary School spring graduation.
