All junior culinary arts exhibits will be judged and displayed in the Culinary Arts section. Please refer to the Rules and Regulations and read the Rules for Junior Division. Junior prize winnings must be picked up at the Fair office during Fair weekend. They will be available after 10:00 a.m. Saturday, and all day Sunday. Entrants must provide their duplicate entry list.

REMEMBER - Juniors may also enter the Adult Culinary Arts classes.

Contest is open to youth ages 10 to 15 years ( as of Dec. 31 of current year). First prize will be eligible to compete at the District 4 Annual Meeting. Include a copy of your recipe.

RULES

1. No membership required.

2. Maximum photo size is 4" x 6", unless otherwise specified.

3. All photographs must be properly mounted on plain black or white only Bristol board or construction paper. The background must be no larger than 8" x 10" unless otherwise specified. No frames or mats allowed.

4. Only one (1) entry per class, unless otherwise specified.

5. Photos must not have been judged previously at the Uxbridge Fall Fair.

6. Photos must be the work of the exhibitor.

7. Attach entry tags to the right-hand side of the photo.

8. Please read the General Rules for the Homecraft Division.

9. ALL PHOTOS MAY BE COLOUR or BLACK AND WHITE.

PEOPLE'S CHOICE AWARD Prize: ROSETTE

On Friday and Saturday until 6:00 pm, visitors to the Fair may cast one vote each for their favourite photograph in EITHER the adult or children's section. Results will be posted Sunday.

2020 FAIR THEME -"Fields & Furrows"

RULES:

1. No membership fee is required. Entries must be registered at the Fair Office after 12 p.m. and before 7:00 pm on Thursday, September 10, 2020.

2. All entries must be tagged with a number obtained from the Secretary when making entries and must include full name. (The age is to be put on the back of the exhibitor tag, otherwise entry will be eliminated.)

3. Exhibitor tags may be obtained from the Township Office or Public Library in Uxbridge prior to the Fair week or at the Fair Office, Thursday, September 10, 2020.

4. Age level - as of September 1, 2020 for determining division.

5. The Horticultural building will close at 4:30 pm on Sunday to sort entries and will re-open at 5 pm for pick-up. Exhibitors must pick up exhibits between 5:00 pm and 6:00 pm on Sunday, September 13, 2020.

6. Exhibits will be judged in recognition of a child's capability and age. Decision of the judge is final.

7. Exhibits should not be in valuable containers.

8. The flowers and vegetables must be obtained from the family garden unless otherwise stated.

9. See "Helpful Hints" in the adult vegetable section.

10. Junior and Youth prize winnings must be picked up at the Fair Office on Saturday, September 12, 2020 after 10 a.m. with your yellow duplicate entry list.

RULES FOR THE JUNIOR DIVISION: (Maximum Age 19 years)

1. An entry form must be completed per child. All entries must be tagged with Name, Section, Class and Age. Please also include AGE on the back of each tag. Exhibitor numbers will be assigned to participants who do not have one.

2. There is no fee to enter.

3. Please read General Rules for Homecraft Division.

4. All entries must be the work of the exhibitor exclusively. One entry per person, per class. Entries must be new work made since last Fair.

5. Read carefully what is required. Not following instructions may result in disqualification or lower placement.

6. Articles will be judged as the product of youth - not as perfect works of art. Originality and effort are as important as workmanship. Decision of judge is final.

7. Entry form and tags may be obtained from The Bridge Social (64 Brock Street West, Uxbridge) during business hours. Check www.thebridgesocial.ca for details.

8. Entries must be handed in at The Bridge Social no later than 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 7, 2021. Entry forms and tags should be completed in advance. Please note: Entries may be dropped of in advance of September 7th.

9. Age level - as of September 7, 2021 for determining division. Children may make entries in the next highest age class if they wish and teens may enter the adult classes.

10. Exhibitors must pick up their exhibits between Tuesday, September 14 and Saturday, September 18, 2021 at The Bridge Social during business hours. (see www.thebridgesocial.ca for details)

11. Junior prize winnings must be picked up at The Bridge Social between Tuesday, September 14 and Saturday, September 18, 2021 during business hours.

12. Any unclaimed entries will be disposed of and any unclaimed prize money will be donated to the Fair.
