The Board of Directors of the Uxbridge Fair, along with our dedicated volunteers, extend our heartfelt appreciation to every individual and group that played a role in making the 2023 Uxbridge Fair a resounding success. Our deepest gratitude goes out to our attendees, our exhibitors who showcased their unique handicrafts and animals, our generous sponsors who provided essential financial support, and our vendors who offered a diverse range of merchandise and food.

We also acknowledge the invaluable contributions of service clubs, the Durham Regional Police, Emergency Services, the Uxbridge Fire Department, and EMT Mark Bird, along with his staff, for their utmost professionalism and commitment. Moreover, we thank our assorted suppliers and business associates for their unparalleled service and proficiency. The Uxbridge Fair is a testament to community spirit, and the active involvement of different stakeholders is pivotal in upholding this beloved annual tradition!

During the days of the fair, attendees were treated to exceptional weather and an array of activities, including the crowd-favourite demolition derby, assorted farm animal exhibitions, homecraft, agricultural and horticultural displays. The exhilaration of the midway, orchestrated by World’s Finest Shows, the Cruise In Car Show, Tractor Pull, and varied stage and ground entertainments, were all part of the enjoyable experiences of the 2023 Uxbridge Fair, relished by families, friends, and individuals of all ages.

Dear Uxbridge Fairgoers,

We’re thrilled to have you joining us for another year of fun, food, and fantastic activities. We have made a few changes to our policies to ensure everyone has a safe and enjoyable experience at the Fair. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

One of the key changes we’ve made is our new ‘No Backpack Policy’. Our main priority at the Uxbridge Fair is to ensure the safety of all our attendees. This policy aims to create a more secure and efficient environment for everyone. It’s a step in the right direction towards maintaining a delightful and worry-free atmosphere for all our fairgoers.

If you plan to bring a bag with you to the Fair, here are a few things to remember:

  1. No Backpacks: For us to keep our security checks quick and effective, backpacks will not be permitted on the fairgrounds. If you arrive with a backpack, you will be kindly asked to return it to your vehicle or leave it at home. We appreciate your understanding as we prioritize the safety and convenience of all attendees.
  2. Clear Stadium Bags: Clear stadium bags that allow the contents to be seen are welcomed. Clear bags make it easier for our security personnel to check the bags without opening them, ensuring quicker entry for you and everyone else.
  3. Other Bags and Large Purses: We understand that you may need to bring items for the day. While we encourage you to bring as little as possible, we understand some items are necessary. Please note, however, these bags may be subject to search at the entrance.
  4. Diaper Bags: We love seeing our littlest fairgoers! If you’re bringing an infant along, diaper bags are acceptable. We ask that the baby be present with you at the time of entry.

Our Uxbridge Fair team thanks you for cooperating with these new policies. They’re designed to help everyone have a fun, safe, and memorable time at the Fair. We can’t wait to see you and are looking forward to creating unforgettable memories together!

With cheer,

The Uxbridge Fair Team

Barry Grant: Barry has been involved with the fair for well over ten years as a competitor, and then in 2012, he took over as the Chairman of the sheep show. Barry has worked very hard to build the show, and it is becoming busier every year. Last year he was approached by the local 4H Sheep club and asked if he could put in a 4H show, which he happily did, and it was a great success. So much so that it has become a regular part of the sheep show. Barry joined the Board of Directors in 2018 and is a very knowledgeable part of the team. We greatly appreciate all the time and effort that Barry puts in and would like to recognize him for his efforts.

Tom La Rue: Tom’s enthusiasm and  contribution to the sport of Truck and Tractor Pulling has been evident for decades. He has been an active member of our Truck and Tractor Pull track team for many years. Through his love of the sport Tom has donated much of his  knowledge, time, equipment and materials to build our track  so that it is one of the best in our area and host to one of the most looked forward to Pulls every year.  Tom also has a very strong attention to safety for both the Pullers and the fans in the stands. The Uxbridge Fair would like to  recognize this quietly working behind the scenes gentleman with the Meritorious Award to show him our appreciation for everything he does.

Kyle Smith: Kyle is a most important part of our track crew team.  He is part of the prep crew that works for days before the fair getting the grounds and track ready  for both The Truck and Tractor Pull on the Friday night and the Demolition Derby on the Saturday night. Often the time involved starts after farm chores are finished and goes until 1 or 2 am the next morning when cleanup is finished and the track is ready for the next event later that day. When a piece of equipment was needed, no problem, Kyle built it!  When help is needed, no problem, Kyle is there.  When tractors or other machinery is needed they appear. In awarding Kyle with an  Honorary Life Membership we would like to show our appreciation for everything he does to make our fair a success!

This year’s AGM will also feature award presentations, recognizing the outstanding contributions of members who have gone above and beyond in their service to the organization.

This evening is an excellent opportunity to celebrate our members’ achievements and thank them for their dedication and hard work.

Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and a Prosperous New Year is the season’s most cherished greeting. As we celebrate this blissful yet sacred time of year, we also turn our thoughts to the future, yearning for the prosperity and peace that will come with it. The Christmas season is one of the most inspiring and joyful celebrations we have.

It’s A Great Time To Take A Step Back And Reflect

The New Year is a great time to take a step back and reflect. This reflective period is the perfect opportunity for you to give yourself a pat on the back, so to speak. Make sure that you take this time to think about your goals and what you want out of life. For many people, they find that they accomplish their New Year’s resolutions quite effortlessly by taking this time off from the hustle and bustle of everyday life to focus on themselves. You’ll be able to see the fruits of your labor from last year, consider what worked and what didn’t, and then set new goals for this upcoming year so that you can continue to grow in 2023.

It’s the New Year, So Let’s Celebrate!

The Uxbridge Scott Agricultural Society wishes you and your family a happy and safe holiday. We’ll see you in the new year.

2023 Annual General Meeting

Mark your calendar for the upcoming AGM in the new year. The agenda will include election of directors, approval of the annual report, and discussion of new initiatives for the coming year.

Date: January 31, 2023
Time: 7:30PM
Location: Uxbridge Legion

The Uxbridge Fair Board of Directors, on behalf the volunteers, would like to thank everyone involved, for another successful year at Uxbridge Fair. We are especially grateful to our fair visitors for attending, our exhibitors for displaying their animals and handicrafts, our sponsors for supporting the fair financially, our concession vendors for supplying such a wide array of food and merchandise, the service clubs for their dedication and support, the Durham Regional Police, Emergency Services, Uxbridge Fire Department and EMT Mark Bird and Staff for their professionalism and care, and of course our many suppliers and business partners for their expertise and service. The Uxbridge Fair is truly a community event and we rely on our many stakeholders to ensure our annual tradition continues to be such an overwhelming success!

With spectacular weather for all days of the fair, our crowds enjoyed the ever-popular demolition derby, horse, cattle and other farm animal shows, homecraft, agriculture and horticulture exhibits, the thrills of the midway operated by World’s Finest Shows, the Cruise In Car Show, Tractor Pull, and all sorts of entertainment on stage and throughout the grounds. Young and old, families and friends, gathered to enjoy the 2022 Uxbridge Fair.

See photos from the 2022 Uxbridge Fair.

Plans are already underway for the 161st Uxbridge Fair to be held on September 8, 9, &  10, 2023, an annual tradition since 1862. Always the weekend after the Labour Day!

Uxbridge Fall Fair will return Sept. 9, 10 & 11! The Board has been working to confirm events and have a midway contract confirmed, commitments from all our animal competitions and confirmation of the Tractor Pull and Demolition Derby, in place. Home craft, horticulture and seeds and grain will be different but they’ll be there!

As a not for profit event we have a budget of approximately $150,000 to $160,000. This is NOT financed by the Township of Uxbridge although they are very supportive.

ALL MONIES are raised through sponsors, donations, a small grant, the gates and a percentage payment from the midway.

  • It’s happening this year!
  • We’re planning!
  • It’s coming!

Please get ready to enjoy this great annual event in our community! Mark your calendar Sept. 9-11!

Donations Gratefully Accepted!

Yes, Uxbridge, there IS going to be a 2022 Fall Fair Event ! Special thanks to CSN-PRECISION AUTO and CHOKO AUTHENTICS Fast Eddie SPEED WEAR  our title sponsors, as well as our tireless volunteers. Uxbridge Fair Board is working hard to adapt some of the usual favourite shows and competitions along with virtual events for the weekend after Labour Day. Some events will not be held for health and safety reasons.

We do, however, need your help. If you or your company can sponsor us for any amount, we will use that support to help offer some local fair events. We know it’s been a tough year for you, too, but we would appreciate any amount you can contribute.

Sponsors/those donating may mail their cheque made out to The Uxbridge Fair to P.O. Box 1472, Uxbridge, Ont., L9P 1N6, e-transfer to: uxbridgefallfair@outlook.com or drop off cash or cheque to several local businesses

1.Sugar FX or

We are grateful for any help you can give us.
