What a fair it was! With beautiful weather cooperating all weekend for our Friday, Saturday, and Sunday fair dates, the grounds at Elgin Park were buzzing with the sights, sounds, and smells that make the Uxbridge Fair special.
This year also brought something new to our schedule: a Thursday night event outside the regular fair dates, celebrating 50 years of tractor pulling at the Uxbridge Fair. With no midway and only a handful of food vendors on site, the focus was squarely on the sport, and it did not disappoint. Around 90 local tractor pullers came out to mark the milestone, and the energy in the stands made it clear this celebration deserved its own night.
The fair itself brought some great new vendors and attractions alongside the family entertainment our fairgoers look forward to every year. Our Homecraft, horticultural, agricultural, and livestock exhibits were in peak form, with a fantastic number of entries. A huge thank you to the exhibitors who put in the hard work to bring their best to the fair this year.
None of this would be possible without the people who make the Uxbridge Fair happen: our exhibitors, our volunteers, and our community partners, including the Township of Uxbridge, Uxbridge Fire, and Durham Regional Police. Thank you all for another wonderful year.
We’ll see you at the fair next year!
