Positions: Fair Secretary
The Uxbridge and Scott Agricultural Society is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual for the position of Fair Secretary. The Fair Secretary plays a vital role in ensuring the efficient administration and record-keeping for the Society.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administrative Oversight: Look after the efficient administration of the Board, ensuring that all Board business is implemented consistently and thoroughly.
- Correspondence and Record-Keeping: Responsible for all correspondence and maintaining accurate records of meetings, including resolutions, motions, and decisions made by the Board.
- Document Management: Ensure that essential records, such as annual reports, financial statements, and Independent Examiners’ reports, are properly maintained and organized.
- Meeting Coordination: Notify all Directors and Board representatives of upcoming Executive and Board Meetings, ensuring timely communication of essential information.
- Additional Duties: Perform any additional duties as prescribed by the Board, contributing to the Society’s overall success and smooth operation.
Qualifications:
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency in computer applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, and email.
- Experience in taking comprehensive meeting minutes and maintaining accurate records.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with Board members and stakeholders.
Compensation:
This position is compensated with an honorarium as approved by the Board.

- The Board of Directors appoints the Fair Secretary position.
- Remuneration will be provided as approved by the Board.
