Demolition Derby

Demolition Derby
Demolition Derby
Day: Saturday
Start Time: 7:00 pm

A demolition derby is both a racing event and a spectator sport. It is an annual tradition at the Uxbridge Fair. Drivers drive their cars around in a small track while trying to hit their opponents and fending off attacks from other drivers. The winner is decided when all of the other cars can no longer continue racing.  The last care remaining is victorious.

Thunderous explosions are heard from the demolition derby as cars crash into each other, smashing each other’s vehicles apart and into rubble. One car has lost its doors and is a mass of dents, having been pummeled by another car. The driver of a black four-door car flips off the driver of a red sports car after running his vehicle into his opponent. It is a bitter rivalry that began long ago.

The Demolition Derby will be held on Sept. 7, 2024, the first Saturday evening after Labour Day, in Elgin Park, Uxbridge at 7:00 pm SHARP.

In the event that this Derby is cancelled, the Uxbridge-Scott Agricultural Society and the Township of Uxbridge will not be liable. There is no rain date.

Please arrive early. Admission to the Fair includes admission for spectators to this event, but does not guarantee parking on site or seating.
Note: As in all high risk events, everyone entering the fairgrounds does so at your own risk.
