RULES:
1. Entries must be 50 years of age or older.
2. Any notes of historical interest or a short description are welcome.
3. Small cracks or flaws will not disqualify an item.
4. All small items (able to hold in hand) will be displayed in locked glass case in the homecraft building. Larger items may not fit in locked glass case and will be on display on homecraft building tables.
5. One entry per participant per category.
Each Exhibitor entering one or more adult classes will be charged a single exhibitor fee of $5.00 this year!
Prizes: 1st: $5, 2nd: $4, 3rd: $3, 4th: $2
Classes:
1. | Kitchen Classics - any antique kitchenware or tools used in Canadian homes Examples: butter dishes, sandwich plates, utensils, measuring tools. |
2. | Home & Tabletop Treasures Decorative or practical items found in living or dining spaces |
3. | Fashion & Fabric Items related to clothing, sewing or personal style. Examples: garments, accessories, sewing samples, smocking, buttons |
4. | Work & Tools of the Trade Small tools or equipment used in home or trade work. Examples: rulers, early gadgets, advertising tools, carpentry tool |
5. | Childhood Memories Toys, books or games from years past. Examples: dolls, dominoes, board games, lunch boxes and puzzles |
6. | Printed & Paper Goods Paper-based memorabilia. Examples: greeting cards, photos, newspapers magazines, recipe books |
7. | Sounds & Stories Items related to music, storytelling or family heritage. Examples: music boxes, family Bibles, records, heirlooms |
8. | Made in Canada Items that reflect Canadian life, identity or history. Examples: Canadian packaging, Expo '67 items, local memorabilia |
