RULES FOR THE JUNIOR DIVISION: (Maximum Age 19 years)

  1. An entry form must be completed for each child. All entries must be tagged with Name, Section, Class and Age. Please also include AGE on the back of each tag. Exhibitor numbers will be assigned to participants who do not have one.
  2. There is no fee to enter.
  3. Please read General Rules for Homecraft Division.
  4. All entries must be the work of the exhibitor exclusively. One entry per person, per class. Entries must be new work made since last Fair.
  5. Read carefully what is required. Not following instructions may result in disqualification or lower placement.
  6. Articles will be judged as the product of youth- not as perfect works of art. Originality and effort are as iportant as workmanship. Decision of judge is final.
  7. Entry form and tags may be obtained from The Bridge Social (64 Brock Street West, Uxbridge) during business hours. Check www.thebridgesocial.ca for details. Entry forms and tags may also be obtained at the Uxbridge Public Library.
  8. Entries must be handed in at the Fair Grounds at Elgin Park no later than 6:30p.m. Thursday, September 4, 2025. Entry forms and tags should be completed in advance.
  9. Age level - as of September 4, 2025 for determining division. Children may make entries in the next highest age class if they wish and teens may enter the adult classes.
  10. Exhibitors must pick up their exhibits on the Fair Grounds at Elgin Park on Sunday, September 7 2024 between 5 - 6 p.m.
  11. Junior prize winnings must be picked up during Fair hours Saturday, September 6, 2025 - Sunday September 7, 2025 at the Home Craft Building.
  12. Any unclaimed entries will be disposed of and any unclaimed prize money will be donated to the Fair.
  13. One entry per participant per category.
  14. REMEMBER, YOU MAY ALSO ENTER THE ADULT HANDCRAFT SECTION CLASSES.

With so much excitement that the fair is in town,
Hope we go the children say still running around,
This is because they have never been to a fair before,
So they start off slowly on the merry-go-round

How to Enter a Competition

Step 1

Find your exhibitor class and section in the online Fair Book.

Step 2

Click the link to our online entry form managed by AssistExpo.  Login if you have used this system previously.  If you are entering for the first time, you’ll need to register by completing your name and contact information.  In the AssistExpo form, complete your contest registration and follow the directions on screen. AssistExpo will generate an Exhibitor number for you.  Save this number with your username and password.

Step 3

Print or save your confirmation message.  Get your printed tags.  Remember the date and time when exhibits are to be delivered to the fair.
