RULES FOR THE JUNIOR DIVISION: (Maximum Age 19 years)
- An entry form must be completed for each child. All entries must be tagged with Name, Section, Class and Age. Please also include AGE on the back of each tag. Exhibitor numbers will be assigned to participants who do not have one.
- There is no fee to enter.
- Please read General Rules for Homecraft Division.
- All entries must be the work of the exhibitor exclusively. One entry per person, per class. Entries must be new work made since last Fair.
- Read carefully what is required. Not following instructions may result in disqualification or lower placement.
- Articles will be judged as the product of youth- not as perfect works of art. Originality and effort are as iportant as workmanship. Decision of judge is final.
- Entry form and tags may be obtained from The Bridge Social (64 Brock Street West, Uxbridge) during business hours. Check www.thebridgesocial.ca for details. Entry forms and tags may also be obtained at the Uxbridge Public Library.
- Entries must be handed in at the Fair Grounds at Elgin Park no later than 6:30p.m. Thursday, September 7, 2023. Entry forms and tags should be completed in advance.
- Age level - as of September 6, 2023 for determining division. Children may make entries in the next highest age class if they wish and teens may enter the adult classes.
- Exhibitors must pick up their exhibits on the Fair Grounds at Elgin Park on Sunday, September 10 2023 between 5 - 6 p.m.
- Junior prize winnings must be picked up during Fair hours Saturday, September 9, 2023 - Sunday September 10, 2023 at the Home Craft Building.
- Any unclaimed entries will be disposed of and any unclaimed prize money will be donated to the Fair.

PRESCHOOL CLASSES - RIBBONS FOR ALL ENTRANTS:
1. | Paint or colour a picture of your family. |
2. | Decorate a rock using any craft materials. |
3. | Cut + Paste: Create a picture or craft using paper, scissors, and glue. Other craft materials may be used as well. Parent to help with cutting if necessary |
4. | Make a picture, or pattern, or collage using stickers and/or stamps. |
PRIMARY CLASSES (5 - 8 YEARS):
Prizes: 1st: $4, 2nd: $3, 3rd: $2, 4th: $1
5. | Make a puppet using any materials. |
6. | Draw or paint a picture of a garden. Use craft materials to add embellishments. |
7. | Make a piece of jewellery using any materials. |
8. | Dress a doll or stuffed animal to go on a Picnic |
9. | Using a tissue or shoe box, create a diorama of any outdoor space (e.g. garden, backyard, beach, lake, playground). |
10. | Make a craft using popsicle sticks. Use any other craft materials as well. |
11. | Neatly print the poem: My Garden. Judged on penmanship only. Poem included below at the end of Section Y. |
12. | Make an animal using clay or play-dough. Use any other craft materials to add embellishments |
13. | Make a craft using an egg or egg containers. Use any other craft materials. |
INTERMEDIATE CLASSES (9 - 12 YEARS):
Prizes: 1st: $4, 2nd: $3, 3rd: $2, 4th: $1
14. | Create a 3D Garden using any craft materials |
15. | Make a piece of jewellery. |
16. | Decorate a vase of planter |
17. | Make a craft using popsicle sticks Other craft materials may also be used |
18. | Create an item using embroidery thread, string or yarn. Other craft materials may be used |
19. | Neatly write in cursive the poem: My Garden. Judged on penmanship only. Poem included below at the end of Section Y. |
20. | Create a picture or piece of art that includes your initials or first name. |
21. | Make a fall decoration using any craft materials. (e.g. wreath, centrepiece, artwork) |
22. | Draw, sketch, colour, paint a picture of the fair. |
TEEN CLASSES ( 13 - 19 YEARS):
